In 2012 New Zealand government introduced a mandatory 'National Animal Identification and Tracing Project'. Such identification system allows all animals to be identified and traced back to the specific meat processor, then to the farm which the animal came from and the person responsible for that animal.
Bovine serum is manufactured from blood source collected from prime New Zealand cattle aged between 12-36 months, but typically less than 24 months. All lots are processed and manufactured in New Zealand.
