Traceability

In 2012 New Zealand government introduced a mandatory 'National Animal Identification and Tracing Project'. This scheme requires all  beef-cattle farmed in New Zealand to be individually tagged with electronic ear tags. Such identification system allows all animals to be  identified and traced back to the specific meat processor, then to the farm which the animal came from and the person responsible for that animal.

The scheme has strengthened New Zealand's biosecurity system and gives assurance to the export market on the safety and reliability of our farmed animal products.

Our partner abattoir has two fulltime Ministry's veterinarians (MPI VS) onsite responsible for inspecting animals, ensuring animal welfare protocols are followed, and to provide export certification for overseas markets. The cattle from which the by-products were derived  passed ante and post mortem Ministry of Primary Industries veterinary inspection.

Auckland BioSciences' internal documentation format and system are consistent with the Ministry of Primary Industries' requirement and complements the abattoir’s own documentation programme.

Auckland BioSciences' serum production facility is inspected by an external QA on a monthly basis to ensure our customers' interest is at the forefront of our manufacturing process.
