Serum, which is obtained from animals of New Zealand origin, is processed in premises pursuant to the Meat Board Act 2004 and approved by the Ministry of Primary Industries. It is produced in accordance with New Zealand law.
Bovine serum is manufactured from blood source collected from prime New Zealand cattle aged between 12-36 months, but typically less than 24 months. All lots are processed and manufactured in New Zealand.
The cattle from which the by-products were derived passed ante and post mortem Ministry of Primary Industries veterinary inspection.
The importation into New Zealand of ruminant meat, bone meal and blood meal for use in stock foods is strictly prohibited.
